My Patchwork Teddy...

Using scraps and left over fabric, I created a 'Patchwork Teddy'.

I started by making a prototype in just plain white, to see how it worked out,

And this was the end result...

His limbs are all jointed so they move.

If you want to have a go, I just used this from google images as a starting point (http://practicalenrichment.wordpress.com/2010/09/03/the-teddy-bear-project/) but adjusted it slightly as I went along.

Shabby Chic Christmas Stockings...

I know we haven't even had halloween yet and I am already starting christmas crafts...but I couldn't help myself.

These christmas stockings are made from red gingham and fine burlap. I used scrap bits of lace and ribbons to decorate, you can use whatever you have lying around.

All the stockings are lined with cotton.

I then cut out one of each fabric

Then sew on the decoration to the right side of each piece of fabric.

Pin the two pieces of fabric right sides together and then add a lining piece to each side, stitch all the way round and turn right side out. (I added a loop to one side so it could be hung)

A couple of my finished products...

Hands Full Of Love...

Its getting to that chilly time of year, so my crafting has made a winter turn lately.

These days you can buy cheap gloves everywhere, but I am so fussy about being that little bit different that I decided to make my own quirky set of gloves!

Hands Full Of Love Tutorial...

Firstly find your plain old boring gloves, and lay then little finger to little finger.

Choose your felt colour, (make sure you wash it first, so if you wash your gloves later it won't shrink). Make a paper heart paper template, and pin onto fold of felt.

Open up your heart and cut in half, pin onto gloves along the edge.

Sew in place securely with white thread.

Choose a contrasting coloured embroidery thread and stitch around the half hearts.

Ta...Da! Your finished gloves.
